High School Counselors

  • Horatio Alger Scholarship (https://scholars.horatioalger.org/scholarships/)- As one of the nation's largest need-based college scholarship programs in the country, the Horatio Alger Scholarship Programs specifically assist high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. While many programs are directed primarily to recognizing academic achievement or leadership potential, the Horatio Alger Association seeks students who have exhibited determination, integrity, and perseverance in overcoming adversity, as well as have critical financial need. Deadline: October 
  • Indians in Medicine Summer Institute- (https://med.und.edu/indians-into-medicine/summer-programs.html)- American Indian students in grades 7-12 are encouraged to participate in the INMED Summer Institute Program (SI), a six-week academic enrichment session for students who are interested in exploring careers and fields of study in health care. Deadline: March
  • Wyoming School Resource Officer Association Scholarship (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1s_YL4XYhisphZy0l-CU_CkdXGkr9MKP_Ff9Hu47T_Io/edit?usp=sharing)- WYSRO would like to offer two, one-time scholarships in the amount of $500 each to well deserving high school seniors intending to pursue a degree in the fields of Education, Law, or any related field at any Community College or University within the state of Wyoming. Deadline: Prior to February 1

Middle School Counselors

  • Jack Kent Cooke Young Scholar Program- (https://www.jkcf.org/our-scholarships/young-scholars-program/The Cooke Young Scholars Program is a selective five-year, pre-college scholarship for high-performing 7th grade students with financial need. It provides comprehensive academic and college advising, as well as financial support for school, Cooke-sponsored summer programs, internships, and other learning enrichment opportunities. Deadline: March

Elementary School Counselors

  • Camp Bighorn (https://bighorn.org/programs/camp-bighorn/)- Camp Bighorn is a three-day, day-only program, held in August. Youth ages 9-12 learn about Big Horn Sheep and their habitat. It is a fun, educational full-immersion camp designed to inspire and educate youth about bighorn sheet and their habitat. From a trek to the top of Torrey Rim, to riparian macroinvertebrates alongside Torrey Creek to an exploration of forest ecology and habitat management, youth participates dive in deep to explore this amazing place and home to the Whiskey Mountain herd of Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep. The camp is on the Whiskey Mountain Conservation Camp in Dubois, Wyoming. Deadline: April
